Watermelons & Haircuts

So this past weekend I went out on the road with my good buddy Jeremy Halliburton to see some of the sights and sounds this great state has to offer. First stop was the world famous Luling,TX Annual Watermelon Thump.



We played in the spit way stage and packed them in…This was my first time to actually stop and assimilate in the town of Luling or to participate in the Watermelon thump but it was a fantastic time. The crowd was great; the food was fantastic not to mention the band was killing it!

We then ended up Sunday at Billy’s Icehouse in New Braunfels, TX for Matthew Briggs’ 8th annual locks of love event.



I’ve played this event for many years and it never ceases to amaze me the generosity of the folks that come out and participate!!! We had live music on stage for almost 9 hours straight and I got to share the stage with some good friends. we had people lining up to donate their hair…(me being one of them) and donations galore to help keep this amazing organization alive and doing what they do best…putting smiles on children’s faces.

All in all we had a great weekend and cant wait for the coming months….Hint Hint
