I’ve always written music that is near and dear to my heart and will hopefully strike a chord in my audience and I feel that again I have accomplished this.

Last Thursday I went into the studio to demo one of my newest songs with a little help from my buddies Jeff Penalber on drums and Stormy cooper (bass player for Roger Creager).





I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome it is definitely a solid foundation for what’s to come on the record. Studio time has been booked to cut the new song in the coming weeks and I am super excited to be able to release a new record to my wonderful fans.

The next day I ran to San Antonio to play a show with my good friends Jeremy Halliburton and Jarrod Birmingham and what a show it was.



I’ve heard a lot about Sam’s Burger Joint and believe me they aren’t kidding when you hear it is an awesome venue not to mention the burgers are absolutely fantastic.



Thank you all for coming out and supporting this music we are making and keeping us all out on the road.

After a little down time this week I went home to visit my parents and soak up the salt air (what a way to clear your head and get back to what’s important in life). While visiting I went out and about around the town to see the sights and sounds and check out the local music scene. Had some drinks and relaxed in the coolest antique wine bar that was second to none!



More to come and I’ll keep everyone updated as the record is in final production.

First stop was the world famous Luling,TX Annual Watermelon Thump.



We played in the spit way stage and packed them in…This was my first time to actually stop and assimilate in the town of Luling or to participate in the Watermelon thump but it was a fantastic time. The crowd was great; the food was fantastic not to mention the band was killing it!


We then ended up Sunday at Billy’s Icehouse in New Braunfels, TX for Matthew Briggs’ 8th annual locks of love event.



I’ve played this event for many years and it never ceases to amaze me the generosity of the folks that come out and participate!!! We had live music on stage for almost 9 hours straight and I got to share the stage with some good friends. we had people lining up to donate their hair…(me being one of them) and donations galore to help keep this amazing organization alive and doing what they do best…putting smiles on children’s faces.




All in all we had a great weekend and cant wait for the coming months….Hint Hint ;)

Now all we have to do is mix and master…its getting so close and the impatient side of me is wanting it now :)




I’d like to thank all the people who participated in the crafting of this record, it’s been alot of time in the studio but the end result will be well worth it…Brian Andrew Lee (awesome guy and never fails to amaze me with his vocal abilities)

Eric Johnson for allowing me to use his original tube screamer straight off his pedal board!!!



And Dusty Saxton (drummer for Brandon Rhyder) for bringing the thunder



I can’t wait for the coming months ahead….lots and lots in store.

Saturday, I spent the day shooting guns at a Sporting Clay meet making new friends, as well as, killing a few clay pigeons along the way. The rain was nonstop, but overall how can you have a bad day when your around good people and lots and lots of guns :)

After the event, I went back to freshen up and get ready for the night ahead of me. I arrived at the “second oldest dance hall in Texas” Schroeder Hall, for the nights escapades. It was so great to be back home around friends and family. I got to spend quality time with my ol’ buddy Jarrod Birmingham and Jeremy Halliburton which couldn’t have been better. The dance hall never fails me from the wood floor to the quality crowd that came out to support real musicians playing real music.

It was so great share the stage with not only my best friend and one of my heros, but to play music that touches people the way music should.

Thanks again to all the supporters of live music, and the people who make this life all worth while.

Hundreds of toys were raised, hundreds of people participated and the music was second to none. I would personally like to thank Jeremy Halliburton (www.jeremyhalliburton.com) for once again including me in this event, all the supporters of the event for showing up and year after year and making the event bigger and better every time. I would like to thank Fred Andrews of Honeybrowne for doing his thing and for the jam session we shared on stage. And last but not least John Reeves for being the incredible gifted commentator that he is.

Thank you everyone for making the event what it is and allowing us to once again provide so many children with the Christmas that they deserve.

We made great strides and are well on our way for the production of my second album. I will keep you posted on new things as they unfold (maybe some raw footage of the recording process, some sound clips….and deffinately some pictures.)
